Impian Melaka untuk menjadi negeri taman tema semakin menjadi kenyataan apabila produk pelancongan berasaskan rekreasi yang dikenali Wonderland Theme Park dijangka siap Disember ini.

Ketua Menteri, Datuk Seri Mohd. Ali Rustam berkata, taman tema air bernilai kira-kira RM28 juta yang terletak di Ayer Keroh itu dimajukan sektor swasta dengan keluasan tapak 12.9 hektar.

Menurut beliau, ia dijangka mampu menarik kunjungan sebanyak 300,000 pelancong setahun.

"Melaka Wonderland Theme Park mempunyai 28 jenis permainan dan rekreasi air dan ia mampu menampung sehingga 4,000 pengunjung pada satu-satu masa," katanya di sini baru-baru ini.

Menurut Mohd. Ali, setakat ini, beliau berpuas hati dengan taklimat mengenai kemajuan projek itu yang disampaikan oleh Penolong Pengurus Arihant Industrial Corporation Limited, Mangesh Taksale.

"Selepas ini, saya berharap lebih banyak sektor swasta akan tampil untuk memajukan projek-projek seumpama ini yang dilihat memberi keyakinan baru kepada pelabur dalam sektor pelancongan berasaskan rekreasi," katanya.
